Tim Sherriff
We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of a longtime Southeastern Pond Management's family member. Tim Sherriff, 57, died Thursday March 8, 2012 at his residence in LaFayette, Alabama from complications of diabetes. Tim spent the last 17 years as an equity shareholder in SE Pond as well as part of the Southeastern Pond Management fisheries staff. He is survived by his wife Diane; two sons, Jacob and Andrew; daughter, Jennifer; grandson, Parker; mother, Rachael; brother, Stephan; and sister, Rebecca.
Tim was born in Burlington, North Carolina on April 9, 1954. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S degree in Wildlife Sciences and received his MS degree from Auburn University in fisheries. Tim was a co-founder of Lake Management Specialists which merged with Southeastern Pond Management in 1995. Tim retired December 31, 2011 due to his failing health.
A deacon of his church, Tim was always willing to help in many ways and especially enjoyed cooking for church and local school events. He enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities, including and especially hunting and fishing and was often found sitting in a boat drowning a plastic worm. Over the years, Tim developed countless friendships with many of you. He always enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with clients, many of whom had developed into lifelong friends.
